About us
The Tennis Club is a cherished community asset which prides itself on a friendly, inclusive ethos; a place where new members of all abilities will receive a warm welcome, meet people from every walk of life and stay healthy in a sociable way. An added bonus is full use of the clubhouse, a lob away across the green, with its indoor sports facilities and well-stocked bar.
The playing of tennis started in 1918 on grass courts; these have subsequently been replaced with four outstanding hard courts that can be enjoyed virtually all year round. The club has a flourishing junior section as well as offering coaching to all ages and abilities. Success has been achieved in local leagues by our myriad different teams.
